Canada’s Ottawa River will be home to the best freestyle paddlers in the world. With the hopeful cooperation of mother nature and the committment of both Hydro-Quebec and Ontario Power Generation (within their limits) this will be big wave freestyle at its best.
With a flow greater than all the rivers in England and Wales combined, the Ottawa produces massive waves and holes as it roars to sea level. With luck (you always need that when dealing with Mother Nature) competitors will be treated to waves like Gladiator, Mini-Bus or Big Bus. None of these giants occur at the same time.
You host is Wilderness Tours Adventure Resort and the Ottawa Kayak School. They are committed to making this the best World Freestyle Kayak Championships ever!
