Come out and participate in Ottawa Riverkeeper’s annual general meeting. Meet the new Riverkeeper and learn how you can get involved with this grass roots organization.
Annual General Meeting
This years AGM will be held on Canadian Rivers Day, Sunday June 13th. The meeting will begin at 11:30 a.m. and will take place at Moe’s Newport Cafe at Westboro beach. At the meeting we will present a brief overview of the goals of the organization and the projects we are presently working on.
There are many opportunities for you to become involved with the organization if you have positive energy and time to donate to the organization. There will also be an opportunity for individuals to voice their concerns about the Ottawa River.
A light lunch will be served after the meeting and we will begin our celebration of Rivers Day with fun events for the entire family. Bring your canoe or kayak and participate in the Fundraising Paddle for ORK.
See you there!

Driving Reminder:
For your information, the westbound lanes of the Ottawa River Parkway are closed to motor vehicles on Sunday mornings from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. from Island Park Drive to Carling Avenue. You will have to access Westboro beach from the eastbound lanes if you are driving. There is a parking lot for the beach off the Parkway, just slightly east of the beach and parking is also available on Kirchoffer Street, where you access the beach by walking under the overpass.
