CANADIAN MINING ABUSES ABROAD AND AT HOME

This presentation will show the link between Canadian mining practices at home and abroad and the special privileges that mining companies are given here in Ontario in order to attract the so called “Investment climate” that supports the stock market industry.

We will also be discussing the amendments to the Ontario Mining Act which are in second reading in the Ontario Legislature at the moment.

The event features:

ALAIN DENEAULT author of “Noir Canada – Pillage, Corruption and Criminality in Africa “ who will speak about the Canadian mining industry in Africa .

CHARLES FICNER and DAVID GILL from the Coalition for BALANCED Mining Act Reform who will speak on the topic: “Is Ontario the Liberia of Mining?”

This event is co-sponsored by the Ottawa Coalition Against Mining Uranium and the Ottawa Public Library.
