Grab your canoe and a paddle and join our clean-up efforts,
Participate in the equipment/gear auction and
support Ottawa Riverkeeper
at the second annual Fall Paddle and Garbage Pick-Up.
For all of us that have enjoyed the river this summer, it’s a day to give back to our Mighty Ottawa!! The water is low and the opportunity high to clean both the shores of the Champlain bridge section and the rocky little islands between the riverbanks.
We will have some canoes/paddles & pfds available, but I would suggest you bring your own canoe if you can. It’s going to be great paddle / play time. The garbage can be picked up on foot along the shore. But please do not wade out into water if it’s above your knees. Ottawa Riverkeeper is not responsible for your safety – YOU are.
