RIVERS DAY: Gatineau River Heritage Paddle

Wakefield to the Gatineau River Yacht Club - Sunday, June 13, 2010

Celebrate Canadian Rivers Day on the Gatineau River. The Friends of the Gatineau River and the Gatineau Valley Historical Society are teaming up to lead an interpretative paddle down the Gatineau River between Wakefield and the Gatineau River Yacht Club. This Rivers Day, participants come together to celebrate our amazing river and understand its rich cultural and natural heritage.

Download information kits and maps for different sections of the river from www.fog-arg.org. A shuttle service to return paddlers and their canoes from the Gatineau River Yacht Club to select put-in spots on the river will be available after the feast. We encourage all participants to wear period costumes!
