Kettle Island Clean-Up
Kettle Island, Ottawa River - Sunday, September 27, 2009
You’re invited to join Ottawa Riverkeeper and the Nature Conservancy of Canada to clean up Kettle Island on September 27th 2009 between 10am to 3:30pm
There will be a shuttle available for anyone without a boat. If you have a kayak or canoe you may prefer to paddle across to the island – it’s a short and scenic paddle. There will be one launch point from the Gatineau side and one on the Ottawa side. The launch point from Gatineau will be Marina Kitchissippi De Gatineau 5 rue Sanscartier and from the Ottawa side the launch point will be Ottawa New Edinburgh Club (501 Rockcliffe Drive).

Last year we hauled over 4 TONNES of garbage off this ecologically significant island. Come on out and see the island before it is changed forever by an interprovincial bridge
CALL FOR BOATS – We still need more motor boats to help shuttle people to and from the island. Also, the collected litter will be removed from the island by boat.
