The anchor from the original G B Greene passenger ferry will be brought up river from Britannia Park by the famous Black Jack sailing vessel to the Quyon wharf where the Greene was built in the1800’s. The Anchor, symbolic of the region connection to the Ottawa River, and unveiling ceremony will officially launch The Waterfront Boardwalk project. Join us for the afternoon, reacquaint and connect with friends. Memorabilia, Boom Boats, Photos and other items of historical significance from the area will be on display. The ceremony and afternoon events are free. Tickets for the Governor Generals Band concert, local musicians, and dinner can be purchased at this location.
