Itinerary
Welcome to the 3rd annual Miramichi Lodge Paddlequest. This fundraising event, planned for the second
Sunday in June to coincide with National Rivers Day, is organized by the Miramiachi Lodge Foundation to raise funds
that will directly enhance the quality of life of the Lodge’s residents.
The event is an organized flat water paddle (not a race), that will follow a route from the sandy beaches of
Petawawa Point, at the mouth of the Petawawa River, down the historic Ottawa River to Pembroke’s Riverside Park,
adjacent to the New Miramichi Lodge.
The total distance of the route is 15 kms and we expect the duration to be approximately 3 hours
including a half-way stop at Pine Ridge Park (comfort station, first aid post and refreshments).
Your entry fee of $50.00 per person will include a Deluxe Voyageur Dinner by Ulrich’s, event souvenir and a
shuttle service for drivers back to the starting point to retrieve their vehicle. (A $25.00 charitable donation tax receipt
will be issued to each participant).
Miramichi Lodge Paddlequest is open to both tandem and solo canoes and kayaks; it will be closed to
motorized craft with the exception of sweep and safety boats.
Join us as we ply the same waters paddled by the Algonquins and Samuel de Champlain, explorers and fur
traders. Be a modern-day voyageur and have a great time while supporting the residents of Renfrew County’s New
Miramichi Lodge.

Safety & Preparedness
• This is an alcohol free event
• Paddlers must ensure they have the minimum required safety equipment
PFD’s, Bailer, Floating throw rope and pealess whistle.
• Please remember to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, hats and gloves, rain gear, water and snacks.
