Ottawa Riverkeeper exhibits at Imagine Ottawa - City Social Forum

St. Elias Cathedral, 10AM-1PM - Saturday, September 23, 2006

The City Social Forum is inspired by the World Social Forum and Think City Vancouver, Imagine Ottawa – a City Social Forum aims to bring people together from across the city who think another Ottawa is Possible.

It is taking place from 10:00 – 3:00 pm at St. Elias Cathedral, at 2975 Riverside Drive, across from Mooney’s Bay Park. Entry is at the back off the parking lot. Registration is from 9:00 am to 10:00 am with entertainment from Just Voices Choir.

  1. Local Democracy : increasing access, participation and ownership over decision-making in the city.
  2. Getting off oil : climate change and the city, what you can do
  3. Building a village in your neighbourhood: making community, creating neighbourhoods
  4. City for All – addressing poverty and the crisis in housing
  5. Culture on the Move – the role for arts, culture and public space

11:00 – 12:00 pm Workshops – Choose One!
