Water – it can be solid or liquid; a giver or a taker of life; refreshing or bracing; freezing or boiling. We can get into it, on it, consume it, play in it or work with it. Is there any other element that has so many dimensions, uses or interpretations?

Following on the acclaim of two previous shows, Ottawa Alleyways and Champlain Lookout , the Ottawa 8 embrace yet another artistic challenge spending 52 weeks walking, haunting, exploring and depicting Ottawa’s waterways.

Ottawater features the work of Jay Anderson, John Jarrett, Strachan Johnston, Olaf Krassnitzky, Bernard Lévesque, Pina Manoni-Rennick, Paul Schibli, and Karl Schutt

Vernissage: Sunday, June 10th, 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Plan to celebrate Canada Rivers Day, Sunday, June 10, at the Ottawater Vernissage when Ottawa Riverkeeper Meredith Brown will give a free public talk. Meredith is a strong, science-based voice for the Ottawa River, acting as its full-time “watchdog” since 2004.
