Meredith Brown, The Riverkeeper was invited to present the major findings of the first State of the River Report to the Council.
Ottawa Riverkeeper’s River Report was published to inform a broad audience about the current physical and biological conditions of the Ottawa River watershed and the impacts of human activities on the river. The report reflects Ottawa Riverkeeper’s mandate which is to protect the ecological integrity of the Ottawa River system by gathering independent science-based data that can be used to identify important ecological issues and priorities affecting the health of the river.
