Roche-NCE would like to invite you on behalf of the National Capital Commission (NCC), the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and the ministère des Transports du Québec (MTQ) to the third round of public consultation sessions for the Environmental Assessment Study of Future Interprovincial Crossings in the National Capital Region (NCR). This Study is being undertaken in cooperation with the Ville de Gatineau, the City of Ottawa, and in consultation with government agencies and the general public.
The purpose of the Study is to assess prospective interprovincial transportation infrastructure corridors to address: current and future capacity deficiencies in the NCR, truck traffic, the economic need for greater efficiency in the movement of goods, community disruption associated with current crossing corridors and the environmental implications of identified crossing corridors. The Study will be conducted in two Phases: Phase 1 will document the need and justification and will assess several different solutions and corridors, resulting in the recommendation of technically preferred corridor(s); and Phase 2 will assess the environmental impacts of the corridor(s) and obtain appropriate approvals.

Au nom de la Commission de la capitale nationale (CCN), du ministère des Transports de l’Ontario (MTO) et du ministère des Transports du Québec (MTQ), les experts conseils Roche-NCE vous invitent à la troisième ronde de consultation publique sur l’Évaluation environnementale des futures liaisons interprovinciales dans la région de la Capitale Nationale (RCN). Cette étude est réalisée en collaboration avec la Ville de Gatineau et la Ville d’Ottawa, et en consultation avec les organismes gouvernementaux concernés et le public.
Cette étude a pour but d’évaluer des corridors potentiels de liaisons interprovinciales en vue de répondre aux enjeux tels la capacité insuffisante actuelle et projetée du transport interprovincial dans la RCN, la circulation des camions, le besoin d’améliorer l’efficacité du transport des marchandises, les impacts sur les collectivités locales traversées par les liaisons existantes et les enjeux environnementaux. L’étude sera réalisée en deux phases : la phase 1 documentera le besoin et la justification et évaluera plusieurs solutions et corridors afin de recommander un ou plusieurs corridor(s) préféré(s) du point de vue technique; la phase 2 évaluera les impacts environnementaux liés au(x) corridor(s) et visera à obtenir les approbations requises.
Cette ronde de consultation publique a pour but de fournir au public une meilleure compréhension de la méthode d’évaluation des solutions de rechange proposées. L’information présentée comprend :
