The City of Ottawa has announced a working plan to “protect the health of the Ottawa River”.
The Ottawa River Action Plan proposes 3 possible solutions to Ottawa’s sewer overflow problem and also addresses broader issues affecting the entire watershed over the next 5 years.
We strongly encourage you to participate in the public consultation process to ensure that the City hears your voice and proceeds with the best plan for our river and our communities.

One of the projects in the Action Plan proposes three options to reduce combined sewer overflows. They range in price from $40 million to $2.2 billion.
Come to a public meeting to provide input about which solution YOU believe is the most sustainable — economically, environmentally and socially.
