Public Meetings on the proposal to upgrade the existing Quyon Ferry

You are inviting you to two Public Meetings on the proposal to upgrade the existing Quyon Ferry on the Ottawa River between Quyon, Pontiac (Quebec) and Mohr’s Landing, Ottawa (Ontario). The project will involve extending the existing ramps on both sides of the river and replacing the existing propeller ferries with a cable ferry.

The proposed project triggers the Federal environmental assessment process under the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, the Ontario environmental assessment process under the Environmental Assessment Act and the Quebec environmental impact study process under article 31 of the Loi sur la qualité de l’environnement.

Public input is an important part of these environmental assessment processes and as such, the Public Meetings will serve to present the project to all interested, answer questions regarding the project and environmental issues, as well as collect comments from the public.
