THE MIGHTY SPLENDOR of the Ottawa River and the ever-changing moods of its waters, banks and skies are the signature theme of artist Margaret Chwialkowska. In her mesmerizing oil paintings, fantastical colors and dramatic textures transform familiar riverbanks into emotional soulscapes in which a single tree branch may be anthropomorphized, seemingly reaching out with joy, hope or regret.
With the goal of PRESERVATION behind all of her landscapes, a portion of the proceeds from the on-site sales will be donated to Ottawa Riverkeeper, an organization dedicated to the ecological protection of the Ottawa River.
