CHANGES NEEDED TO PROPOSED CIP WET LAGOON REMEDIATION PLAN

The Corporation de la bordure riveraine de Hawkesbury invites the public and business communities of Hawkesbury to attend an important information session on the future of Hawkesbury’s waterfront.
The Town’s current preferred remediation plan does not include alternatives solutions – including the complete clean-up of the site – concerning the proposed CIP wet lagoon remediation plan. The Municipality of Hawkesbury must reconsider this position, in light of new evidence.
At the meeting, the Corporation de la bordure riveraine (CBRH) will be releasing a new technical review of the remediation plan showing a complete clean-up is feasible.
Meredith Brown, Ottawa Riverkeeper, will also present her findings on the issue.
