Presentation on The Ecology of the Rideau Watershed The Rideau Valley Field Naturalists’ meeting on Sunday, February 5, 2006, at 2:00pm, will feature a presentation on the ‘Ecology of the Rideau Watershed’, (including the Tay watershed) by Dr Frances Pick, of the University of Ottawa. Dr. Pick’s presentation will focus on, and update, the “State of the Environment” report that she developed for the Rideau Round Table in 2001. She will also be discussing the larger question of who is responsible for caring for our rivers in Canada. Dr. Pick teaches undergraduate and graduate courses at the University of Ottawa Department of Biology, in the fields of ecosystem ecology, plant physiological ecology and microbial ecology.
The meeting takes place in Perth, at the Stewart Pool meeting room, at the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Wilson Street.
