Ottawa Riverkeeper is seeking dedicated volunteers to help Ottawa Riverkeeper manage our bilingual website by keeping it up-to-date, fresh and relevant to site visitors.
Volunteer role
• Posting new content to the website
• Regularly update content on website, such as contact information, typos, etc.
• Ensure that content is mirrored in both official languages
• Cultivate an exciting, dynamic and relevant website.
• Ensure social media tools like Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and YouTube reflect this content
• Assist Ottawa Riverkeeper in building a strong ‘online’ brand in English and French
• Flexibility allows work from home or at the Ottawa Riverkeeper office.
• This position requires a minimum commitment of 4 hours per month.
• This is an ongoing volunteer opportunity
Qualifications
• Has experience or education in marketing, web development or related fields
• Bilingual
• Experience with website content management systems an asset
• Experience with online social media tools
• Reliable, motivated and dedicated
• Has an interest in the health and future of the Ottawa River
