A boil water advisory affecting 45,000 Gatineau residents was lifted yesterday.
The advisory was issued Friday after a watermain valve broke, affecting an area in the Gatineau sector east of Blvd. Greber, west of Ave. du Cheval-Blanc, south of Chem. Saint-Thomas and north of the railroad track; east of Ave. du Cheval-Blanc, west of montee Mineault, north of the Ottawa River and south of Chem. Industriel.
ANALYSIS
City officials said analysis of water samples indicated the water meets drinking water quality standards.
Residents were advised to open all cold water taps and let the water run for one minute or until cold.
Officials also suggested the same procedures for water fountains and outdoor taps including those attached to garden hoses.
