An Ottawa City Councillor wants the Mayor to invite other heads of Municipal Council and Provincial Representatives to an inaugural meeting of the Intergovernmental Source Water Protection Committee on the Ottawa River.
In a motion for Wednesday’s Council meeting, Councillor Clive Doucet notes Council has passed two motions requesting a committee be convened, but there has been no action by the Ontario Government.
Doucet’s motion in January accused the Ontario Government of not taking a leadership role on the initiative.
