The city will have to wait until next week to learn how much it’ll fork over for a massive sewage spill last August.
Lawyers for the government and city were supposed to present a statement of facts Tuesday and submit how much they thought should be paid in fines but neither side was ready to do so.
Both sides are scheduled to be in court Oct. 3.
The city pleaded guilty to charges after nearly a billion litres of raw sewage flowed into the Ottawa River August 2006.
Two senior managers and another city employee have been fired for their role in not reporting the spill.
