The first winter snowfall of the year sent 50 million litres of untreated water and raw sewage into the Ottawa River.
In a memo to Councillors, Environmental Services General Manager Dixon Weir says the spill happened last Thursday.
The Ministry of Environment, the Public Health Branch and downstream water system operators have been informed of the spill.
