The ecological integrity of the Ottawa River is about to receive a major boost. A generous two-year financial investment from the Ontario Trillium Foundation has made it possible for the Ottawa Riverkeeper / Sentinelles de la rivière des Outaouais Inc. to hire the first full-time Riverkeeper (the ‘Keeper).
On November 6, 2002, we began our seach for a riverkeeper. Two weeks later, 101 applicants had submitted their resumes. During the week of Dec. 2 – 6 the first round of interviews of the final seven candidates will occur with the final selection in early January.
