On February 24th Ottawa City Council approved a 5-year, $250 million plan to reduce discharges of raw sewage into the Ottawa River. The approved plan (“Option B”) was one of three options being considered by the City and was the preferred option selected by Ottawa Riverkeeper. Thanks to a strong public voice and participation on the issue, “Option B” was approved at the committee and council levels.
It’s reported that over 75% of questionnaire respondents endorsed Option B! Thanks for for taking a stand for the Ottawa River – your voice is being heard!
