Kettle Island is situated in the Ottawa River, just downstream of the city centers of Gatineau and Ottawa. It is beautiful and badly in need of stewardship and care.
Grab your canoe or kayak and join our clean-up efforts at the third annual Fall Paddle and Garbage Pick-Up. No canoe, no worries, we will shuttle participants to and from the island by motor boats from the Ottawa and Gatineau shores.
If you need a boat or you intend to be on the island for lunch or if you need further information, please contact volunteer event coordinator Laurel Rosene. Pre-registration is strongly recommended to help us arrange the shuttle and food details. Please contact us by October 10th if you plan to participate.
