Ottawa Riverkeeper’s first State of the River Report is at the printers and will be released publically within one month. This comprehensive and bilingual report highlights the ecological importance of the Ottawa River and the major threats that the river system is facing today.
Our Riverkeeper, Meredith Brown will present the report’s major findings at our Annual General Meeting.
This year’s Annual General Meeting will take place Tuesday June 13th, 7:30 p.m. at Lakeside Gardens in Britannia Park. The meeting is open to all members as well as the general public. The feature presentation will be made by Meredith Brown who will present major findings from the River Report. There will be opportunity to give input into the theme for the next River Report – what would you like Riverkeeper to research and report on?
We have two openings on our board of directors, if you are interested in this exciting opportunity please contact Meredith Brown before May 25th.

2. Help us promote the release of the River Report through calls, emails and faxes to targeted media lists. Strong writing and phone abilities required.
3. Help assemble materials such as press releases, press kits, backgrounders and fact sheets.
4. Help to maintain hard copy and electronic archives of news articles that mention the River Report.
