Everyone is a winner when Riverkeeper and Trailhead host an event.
James Pistilli caught the biggest overall fish,a 28” pike, in the first 30 minutes of the tournament. Katie Huff was the top female and youth rod catching a 14.5” bass. The team of Andrew Cameron, Mike Lennox, Paul Rikker and Mike Duesling won top combined, the top fly rod was Charles Landerville a 26” pike and top senior rod was John Clifford with a nice bass. No trout, pickerel, muskies or other species were caught.
I’d like to especially recognize the organizing committee Michel Bolam and Mark Stanley of Trailhead, Chris Hicks of Adobe, and Wally Schaber owner of Trailhead .
Wally was the leader on this event and was the person who offered to make it a benefactor for Ottawa Riverkeeper. His idea was transformed into a great day that engaged the community, and raised the Riverkeeper profile. In total his efforts resulted in $1,500 for Ottawa Riverkeeper! These funds are greatly appreciated and necessary for our continued operation. Thank you Wally! From all the staff and volunteers at Ottawa Riverkeeper.
