Riverkeeper Triathlon - A Family Challenge by John Almstedt
I call it a “family challenge” because if one isn’t a keen bean competitor that’s how I look at it.
Here’s a pictorial story of our family’s participation in last year’s event. I’m generally not into these types of organized things but it was an enjoyable family outing for a good cause for both ourselves and the environment.
One of the neat things about the event is that there’s so much going on at the same time that no one feels they might be embarrassing themselves – all shapes and sizes, all ages, all skill levels.
Every family needs an organizer and ours was Graydon’s wife Joscelyn. She not only got our family going by having Myers Chev/Olds sponsor us but also got Riverkeeper involved as the receiving charity.
