Fall Paddle and Garbage Pick-up - October 21, 2005
Laurel Rosene believed it was time to give back to our Mighty Ottawa, after enjoying the river this summer. She organized the Fall Paddle and Garbage Pick-up in Bate Island on October 22. Over 35 people picked-up one fridge, half a dozen paint cans (some of which were still dripping paint), a huge rusty iron chain that must have weighed 100 pounds, and two huge piles of garbage.
