The Ottawa River provides drinking water for over 1,000,000 people in the region. Support municipal tap water and you’re supporting a clean and healthy Ottawa River!
In 2009-2010 Ottawa Riverkeeper will partner with area festivals to promote municipal tap water and encourage festival attendees to go “bottled water free”. This is one of the many simple actions that our community needs to take to safeguard our drinking water source and decrease the unnecessary waste produced by the bottled water industry.
