Virginia Creeper

Scientific Name: Parthenocissus incerta

Virginia Creeper is a vine that is native in Ontario and Quebec and can grow as long as 40 ft. It typically has 5 leaflets on each leaf and turns red in the fall. It even grows small fruit that many birds like to feed on, but do not eat them as they are toxic to humans!

Virginia Creeper likes growing along shorelines which makes it an excellent plant to use when re-naturalizing shoreline.
