Each day for a whole weekend, our Youth Water Leaders met on the river to learn from amazing guides about the adventure that lies right in our backyard.

The Youth Water Leaders volunteered as paddlers for a performance of Deluge, a rock concert on rising seas, an amazing intersection between climate activism, powerful music, and a story that our world needs to hear.

Environmental protection is more important now than ever but we cannot move forward unless everyone is included in the discussion. Youth Water Leaders discussed intersectional environmental movements in the fifth week of programming.

In their fourth week of the program, Youth Water Leaders explored indigenous relationships with water through generous teachings from Dr. Aimée Craft and an Algonquin language workshop with Mariette Buckshot from Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg First Nation.
