Olivia Leon’s Official Mural Unveiling – November 13th, 2021
Come see the newest art installation on Bate Island and learn about the different species at risk in the Ottawa River Watershed and what you can do to help!
Join us on November 13th at 2:00pm for a very special event! We will be gathered at Bate Island, around the North Pillar of the Champlain Bridge to unveil a brand new art installation: a mural painted by Youth Water Leader Olivia Leon!
The mural explores the different species at risk in the Ottawa River Watershed and by attending the event you can learn what can be done to help them. Olivia has been working with Ottawa Riverkeeper and the NCC for over a year to bring a stunning mural to life… and it’s finally done!
Thanks to the NCC and Canadian Heritage for their partnership on this project, additional funding for the project from the #RisingYouth grant through TakingItGlobal, as well as to the Canada Service Corps for their funding of the Youth Water Leaders Program.
