On Earth Day 2023, Ottawa Riverkeeper brought volunteers together for a shoreline cleanup, and to celebrate the rebuilding its volunteer capacity thanks to a grant from OTF.

On February 7th, 2023, Riverkeeper Laura Reinsborough presented to the Members of Parliament who sit on the Standing Committee on Science and Research to make the case for community science as a vital tool for better understanding our world and getting communities involved in scientific inquiry.

On March 2nd 2023 we celebrated a massive milestone in the partnership between Ottawa Riverkeeper and RBC. RBC has been a major funder of Ottawa Riverkeeper’s work for over a decade, helping to elevate and expand programs to monitor and protect watershed health.

What can you do when you discover an extreme case of oversalting? One of Ottawa Riverkeeper’s community scientists was recently confronted with this issue at the very spot where he was monitoring for road salt in Bilberry Creek at Pierre Roque Park.

The Ottawa Riverkeeper “Artists in the Watershed” auction is now underway! The auction includes a wonderful selection of watershed-themed artwork created by artists who are passionate about water. All the funds raised through this auction will help protect and promote something we all care deeply about; The Ottawa River and its watershed.
