Building a better Fisheries Act
Ottawa Riverkeeper recently co-signed a letter, along with dozens of other environmental agencies, urging the current federal government to make changes to the current Fisheries Act (which is currently under review).
In it, we made multiple suggestions for restoring protections that had been lost during the previous government, as well as proposed modern safeguards for the Act moving forward.
