Shoreline Cleanup at Parc Moussette – June 19th, 2021

Summer is right on our doorstep which means it's time to give our beaches a spring cleaning! Join us June 19th for a shoreline cleanup at Parc Moussette, in Gatineau!

We take public health very seriously and have planned the event according to the City of Gatineau’s public health guidelines. To make sure that you are safe, we have implemented the following system for the shoreline cleanup:

  • There will be 2 time slots. The first will be from 10 am to 12 pm and the second from 1 pm to 3 pm.
  • Each time slot will have a maximum capacity of 20 participants.
  • The park has been divided into 6 zones allowing participants to keep their physical distance as they improve the state of our shorelines.
  • Although the event is taking place outside we encourage you to wear masks!

Check which section you are interested in cleaning using the map below:

Sign up as an individual or as a household on Eventbrite.

Ottawa Riverkeeper will provide hand sanitizer, gloves and bags at the park. However, we encourage volunteers to bring their own equipment with them as well. It is crucial to wear sturdy, appropriate footwear and clothing, and, if you wish, to bring a reusable water bottle and bug spray!

In preparation for the event, we encourage you to take a look at our Guide to Solo Shoreline Cleanups for more details on how to participate safely.
