Current Conversations: Poetry by the River – June 18th, 2025
For the first event in our Current Conversations series, we're exploring how the river can influence art through poetry! Join in on Wednesday, June 18th from 6 pm to 8 pm.
Join us for Current Conversations, a summer speaker series hosted in Ottawa Riverkeeper’s Learning Lab at the NCC River House, every other Wednesday evening. Each event will feature interesting speakers or presenters, refreshments, and a chance to learn, discuss, and ask questions about the river.
For the first event in our Current Conversations series, we’re exploring how the river can influence art through poetry! This event will feature Ottawa’s Poets Laureate David O’Meara and Véronique Sylvain, along with other Ottawa poets Amanda Earl, Michèle Matteau, Manahil Bandukwala, Julie Huard, Monty Reid, Clémence Roy-Darisse and David Groulx, sharing river-themed poetry in both official languages.
