Current Conversations: The River Starts at Home – July 2nd, 2025

As part of the Current Conversations series, we're hosting a conversation on river-friendly living. Join in on Wednesday, July 2nd from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Join us for Current Conversations, a summer speaker series hosted in Ottawa Riverkeeper’s Learning Lab at the NCC River House, every other Wednesday evening. Each event will feature interesting speakers or presenters, refreshments, and a chance to learn, discuss, and ask questions about the river.

We all play a role in the spread of pollution throughout our river. Hear from Alain Ménard, co-founder and president of Green Beaver, and Valérie Leloup, co-founder and CEO of NU grocery and Strategic Lead for Waste and Circular Economy at EnviroCentre, who will speak on the ways that consumer products and their packaging directly impact the river’s health, and their solutions to these issues.
